Hey Prairie Lilies! Our plants need tending. Here are some thoughts to ponder:

A. Contacts in other centres (i.e. not Regina & Saskatoon).

1. We need to connect with women outside of the major centres so any connections you have there would be great!

2. I think I can set something up in Moose Jaw and Prince Albert.

B. Prairie Lilies presence on the SIAST, U of R and U of S campuses

1. Is there any energy among students to set up groups on campuses? Two parts here:

a. Organized presence on campuses gives us an immediate opportunity to speak out on student issues as they arise.

b. Funding (I know only some of what’s available at U of R. )

i)RPIRG — possibility of financing participatory research into, and documentation of, our work.

ii)Arts Internships — excellent mentoring opportunities.

iii)Clubs & Societies — funding could assist in sending women to the Symposium in December.

c. Anything similar at U of S or SIAST?

2. Are there women willing to take the initial steps?

I am available to help out wherever possible.

C. Can we converse on these?

Please leave a message below if you have any ideas/thoughts/comments/concerns.

We are a Saskatchewan-based group of feminists.  We seek to promote an explicitly feminist analysis of issues. We want to do education and actions that are progressive and feminist. We want to be a place for women to develop leadership skills, including learning to become spokeswomen in the media, to become educators and agitators, and to critically analyze issues. This is not an organization for any woman, or for all women, since we want to organize with feminist women. We want to be a place where we are free to debate issues, and develop policy responses together.

We want to be a provincial in scope, connected with other feminist organizations across the country and around the world so that we might make a better world for all.
